When coding, I usually have to listen to music or something that can be the “white noise” so I’m not in complete silence. Otherwise I find it more difficult to get into the ‘groove’ of programming and being efficient with my time.

Within the past few years, I’ve grown to appreciate Lofi music and playlists when doing any tech or coding work. They encapsulate a genre or type of music in a way that’s soothing and doesn’t compete for your attention. So it’s perfect to have as companion music.

I wanted to share some of my favorites:

90’s Chill Lofi

As a huge fan of 90’s music in general, these tracks are great. They remind you of the era without being overwhelming.

Super Mario Lofi HipHop

For gaming fans and Mario fans, this is for you.

Disney Lofi Mix

I love Disney music, especially from movies from the 90s and 2000s, when I was growing up. This playlist starts with ‘A Whole New World’ from Aladdin which is my favorite Disney movie, so this playlist starts off with a bang.

Relaxing Animal Crossing music + rain sounds

The Animal Crossing game has some of the best ‘chill’ music to listen to. The latest Animal Crossing game was my salvation during the beginning of the pandemic, so listening to this type of playlist brings me back to happy times when playing the game.

Peaceful Island Vibes

This one makes you feel like you’re on vacation, secluded in your own little bubble.
